BRING HOPE BEYOND HURRICANE MELISSA
DONATE TODAY
Jamaica is facing one of its worst hurricanes in history with sustained wind speeds of 160 mph (260km/h), and storm surge. The greatest risk is catastrophic flooding though, as the storm is forecast to hover over Jamaica and deposit an estimated 40 inches of rain (100cm) to parts of Jamaica over the next four days. Melissa is then forecast to impact Cuba, Haiti and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Your support helps The Salvation Army respond quickly and compassionately to emergencies like these, bringing relief, dignity in the face of disaster, and resilience to communities beyond the initial crisis. Please keep the families of Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba, and the Turks and Caicos Islands in your prayers. Even a small gift can make a big difference.
